The event introduced views and reflections of the European Commission and IANIS regarding the Innovative Actions. The main focus was on e-Government, e-Health and e-Business as well as the role of e-Communities and Broadband communications in future development work. The event offered a great opportunity to learn about number of important EU policies and programmes. The delegates had exellent opportunities for in-depth discussions and networking. This event was co-organized by The Innovative Actions programme of Eastern Finland, Carrefour Carelia (the Rural Information and Animation Carrefour network of the European Commission DG Press and Communications), Regional Council of North Karelia, IANIS (The Innovative Actions Network for the Information Society coordinated by The European Regional Information Society Association.
